Completion Details

We would advise you to complete the compulsory courses in the order shown below. However, the order in which you complete the course requirements is only restricted by course prerequisites.

Courses

Our Foundations of iOS Application Development course teaches you to create applications for iOS devices. This course uses the Apple Integrated Development Environment to introduce the XCode environment which includes Swift. Upon completion of this course you will be able to build and test iOS applications.

NOTE(S)

This is an online course, and registration is offered through continuous intake (meaning registration is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year). Register in the section (CRN) with the Date(s) range that includes the date on which you plan to start the course (keeping in mind that you will receive your course details approximately a week after you register). You have 120 calendar days from the day you receive the course details to complete the course. Please ensure you are familiar with the basic technology requirements for online courses. You will also be required to have Mac OS X 10.7 and Xcode 4 software.

You must have basic computer skills.

Through our iOS Application Development and Design course, learn the fundamentals of application interface design.  Create an iOS application with a consistent interface using components from the UIKit framework. Views and Control knowledge from Comp 9645 Foundations of iOS Development is expanded in this course.

Using a hands-on approach, acquire the skills needed for developing complex iOS applications (for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch). Through our iOS Application Development for Complex Commercial Apps course, explore such advanced topics as core data, networking, hardware (accelerometer, camera, GPS, gyro), Map Kit and Game Kit.
