Network Security Fundamentals Certificate

Cisco has established itself as the leader in networking technology.  The training contained within this certificate can be used as part of their study material for the Cisco 100 – 105 ICND1 and Cisco 200-105 ICND2 exams.  The concepts of Qos, virtualization, cloud services, along with providing skills to install, configure, operate and troubleshoot small enterprise networks.

The training provided by this certificate helps prepare you to write two Cisco exams: ICND1 and ICND2.

Courses

The topics covered in this course can be used as study material for the Cisco exam Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (NCND1) (Exam 100-105 ICND1).  Learn the topics related to virtualization and cloud services.  Gain a fundamental understanding of network layers 1 – 3.  Understand the interactions and network functions of firewalls, wireless controllers and access paths along with understand IPv6 and basic network security.  This course uses Boson simulator.

  • This is an online course.
    • Registration is offered through continuous intake (meaning registration is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year). Register in the section (CRN) with the Date(s) range that includes the date on which you plan to start the course (keeping in mind that you will receive your course details approximately a week after you register). You have 120 calendar days from the day you receive the course details to complete the course. 
    • Make sure you are familiar with the basic technology requirements for online courses.
