Network Specialist Certificate

Our Network Specialist Certificate takes you from an introduction to networking concepts through to the development and maintenance of computer networks. Learn about the traditional wired network and its relationship to new wireless networking concepts. Whether you plan a career in Internet networking or intranet networking, the concepts taught in this certificate provide the skills needed to work with the different types of networks used in today's industry. Both Windows-based networks and Unix networks are explained and demonstrated through practical and simulated environments.

Completion Details

We would advise you complete the compulsory courses in the order shown below. However, the order in which you complete the course requirements is only restricted by course prerequisites.

Courses

Computer networks are the backbone of most companies today. Our Network+ course provides you with an understanding of the seven-layer network model as well as how to use this model to set up a network within a small corporate environment. Learn how to set up switches, routers and encryption devices and how to better use hardware through virtualization.

Our Troubleshooting Windows course teaches you the fundamentals of the Windows 10 operating system. This course introduces the different types of installation and upgrading processes that can be used to allow an organization to take advantage of Windows 10.  Workstation security and encryption and maintenance is also covered. This course can be used as part of your study material to write the Microsoft exam 98-349

Our Windows Server - Installation/Configuration course teaches you to install the core service and additional required services for Windows Server 2012. Gain an understanding of the Active Directory and how to manage objects within it. Reduce user maintenance through the creation and configuration of organizational units and user groups. Learn how to use virtual machines for server management. This Windows Server course prepares you for Microsoft exam 70-410.

Through our Windows Server - Administration course, learn to install and configure Windows Server 2012, including its many sub-systems and its cloud computing features. Acquire the skills needed to perform clean installations, and learn to configure dynamic host configuration protocols, domain name systems, terminal services and file and print servers securely. This course prepares you for Microsoft exam 70-411.
