Certificate FAQ

This section will answer your questions about School of Distance Education policies at George Brown College. Contact us if you can't find what you need or want additional help.

You are responsible for reviewing the complete George Brown College Academic Policies, Guidelines and Codes of Conduct. You can access this information at the Policies web page or at a campus Library Learning Commons.

You must allow approximately six weeks for your request to be processed.

Yes, you may receive a course exemption, but you must officially apply for it in writing. Refer tCourse Exemptions for more details.

We do not evaluate international credentials in Distance Education, but we do offer prior learning assessment and recognition if appropriate. Refer to Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) for more details.

Generally, you have three years, but this can vary by department. Refer to Graduation requirements for more details.

Once you have completed all of the requirements, you must request the certificate in writing. Refer to Certificate Requests for more details.
